What a great night with our at the Black Women Connect: Sisters in The City Event on April 13th. 9 Sisters of the Black Womenc Connect Book and Social Club together made for an amazing evening.
Spending my Friday night with these Sisters was the highlight of my week and simply the best! What I loved about our evening was the easy conversation and the great vibe plus that Coconut Vodka Martini was too die for!.
If you have not yet visited the Here We Are Here: Black CanadianContemporary Art exhibit at the ROM, you should before it closes on April 22. It is an opportunity to engage with different black artistic perspectives that looks at both current issues such as Take A Knee and the impact of the cross-Atlantic slave trade, anti-black racism in art, economics and literature on contemporary blackness in Canada. There are some stunning pictures and portraiture
We also had extra time to visit the Africa Gallery – oh how deep is our history and how creative are our people. But how sad that all that beauty was taken away to North America for our enjoyment.
